South Walton is home to 15 named coastal dune lakes — a rare geological phenomenon found in only five places on earth. These stunning bodies of water alternate between fresh and saltwater, periodically opening outfalls to the Gulf. Perfect for kayaking, paddleboarding, fishing, and wildlife viewing. Each 30A community has at least one nearby dune lake to explore.
